Residents enjoying an Almshouse

The Ludlow and Ludford Almshouses bring together four historic charities under one Administrative Board, providing 34 homes across six locations in and around Ludlow.

Our purpose is simple. We offer affordable, secure housing for older people, helping residents live independently in comfortable surroundings, with support available when needed. Each charity retains its own identity and charitable purpose, while the Board oversees governance, finances and upkeep.

This website explains our almshouses, who they are for, how to apply, and the information residents and trustees need.
